We are a young couple that have many many years of experience
Training, Showing, Fitting, Buying and selling of all types of horses, ponies, and mules.
If All Your Horse Needs Is a Tune-up for
The Summer Trail or Show Season.
We Can Also Help You With That.
We start all horses with a lot of groundwork.
We teach them the basics on the ground to make it easier on them
and us when we go to ride or drive them.
Every horse that is brought to us to ride will know what we call the basics, walk, trot, lope (in the right lead both ways), stop and back up. From there on we will teach them anything else that you are wonting them to do.
If you bring us a colt to start and would like them to neck rain, side pass extra I prefer you leave them for 60 days. Because in the first 30 days I work on getting them quiet and teaching them the basics.
We start our driving horses just like we start our riders, and some of them might get one or two rides it just depends on the horse. When we go to drive them they will learn to pull other things besides a wagon like big tiers and logs. If you bring us a horse to drive single we will drive them double the first few times we believe that they learn faster and better going down the road with another horse than by them selves.
We provide the hay and you provide your own grain (4 - 50# bags per horse for
30 days this is an estimate some horses might need more before the 30 days are up).
If there is any grain left at the end of the 30 days you will get it back.
If you do not wont to bring your own grain we will charge $2.00 a day to grain them.
We also ask that you have your horse trimmed or shoed before you bring them to us.
We prefer that they are shoed so that they do not get sore on the gravel.
If you do not have some one to do this for you we can have our fairer do it at your expense.
We ask that you pay for this when you bring them so that we can pay for it when we get it done.
We get ½ of the bill when you bring them and the other ½ when you pick them up.
